Installation of new TELEPHONE SWITCH

Greetings UVI, ITS has begun work on the replacement of the telephone switch on the St. Thomas Campus. This will include the replacement of the current AUDIX system. The installation is scheduled to be complete this weekend, with the cut over to the new systems before noon on Sunday. There will be a few hours when calls can not be sent to audix. We will clarify this time as the install proceeds. This upgrade will effect your voicemail. You need to make a plan for the cutover. Plan to check your voicemail and process any messages on the system. The old system will be active until 10pm on Friday. We suggest that as you check your voicemail for the last time of the week, you advise callers not to leave you a message until Monday. The NEW AUDIX will be active by noon on Sunday, none of your old messages or greetings will be transferred to the new system. You will need to set up your new AUDIX mailbox after noon on Sunday.
