Greetings Colleagues,
This message is to inform the UVI community that the testing of the inter-island microwave system will continue over the next couple of days until Friday. Users on the St. Croix campus may experience intermittent service interruptions during the testing of the system.
During this testing period the following services will be affected if you are on campus.
• Video conferencing services between islands will not be accessible.
• 4 digit dialing between St. Thomas and ST. Croix campus but users can access either campus by dialing 693 or 692 and the 4 digit extension of the person you are trying to call.
• To access Audix from the St. Croix campus, dial 693-1599 and login to Audix as usual.
• E-mail Services to the St. Croix campus can be obtained through exchange.uvi.edu
• Users on the St. Croix campus can still access Blackboard, BanWEb, and Banner

Greetings Colleagues,
This message is to inform the UVI community, that ITS has to take our inter-island microwave link down to test the T1 paths from Crown Mountain to Mt Welcome beginning at 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm today Tuesday, June 30, 2009.
ITS consulted with the Registers Office to choose the best window of time when VC classes were not scheduled to perform this maintenance.
During this testing period the following services will not be available.
• Video conferencing services between islands will not be accessible.

Reminder: Intersession hours on Thursday/Holiday Announcement

Greetings University Community,
This message is a reminder that the Libraries on both campuses will be closed, Thursday, July 2, 2009 thru Saturday, July 4, 2009 in observance of the VI Emancipation Day and Independence Day Holidays. The Libraries will resume regular hours on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.
In an effort to maintain technology services to students during the Holiday, both campuses will observe the following schedule for student lab access.
Lab Access:
Students will be able to utilize designated labs between the hours of 8:30 AM to 12:00 Midnight on each campus by making a request through the Security Department on their respective campus. Students must show their UVI ID and sign in with Security to gain access to the following labs:
St. Thomas: BA 204E Lab
St. Croix: NWW 120 Lab
Students may also access online library resources at anytime by going to http://library.uvi.edu.
The Help Desk voice mail at ext.1466 and email will be monitored during the holiday. If a technology emergency occurs please leave us a message and an ITS technician will follow up. If you have any questions, please contact us at the Help Desk.
