Greetings UVI Community,
The UVI Libraries will observe reduced operating hours during Summer II as follows:
Closed on Saturdays, beginning Saturday, June 25th
Open on Sundays, 3:00pm – 8:00pm, beginning Sunday, June 26th
The reduced library service resulting from the recent budget cut is a pilot of the operating schedule previously announced by the Office of the CIO for comment. Please continue to provide feedback to inform decision-making for the fall semester and the schedule going forward. There are no classes on Saturday and Sunday during Summer II, so the reduced services pilot will not directly impact the course schedule.
Students will have access to e-books and other online library resources at any time by going to http://library.uvi.edu.
Lab Access:
On St. Croix campus students will be able to utilize the NWW 120 Lab. Students may request access through the Security Department. Students must present their UVI ID and sign in order to gain access.
On St. Thomas campus the 24/7 library lab is available for students with their ID key cards.

Technology Update:
Intersession schedule
This communication is to let you know that the UVI Libraries and the St. John Academic Center will observe intersession hours beginning Tuesday, June 21, 2011 to Wednesday, June 22, 2011.
During the intersession period UVI Libraries will operate during the following hours:
Tuesday/Wednesday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Regular Libraries hours will resume Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 8:00 A.M
During the intersession period the St. John Academic Center will operate during the following hours:
Tuesday 21, 2011 9AM—4:45PM
Wednesday 22, 2011 Closed
Regular St. John Academic Center hours will resume Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 8:00 A.M
Please note all student labs except the ones in the Library will be closed for maintenance during intersession.
