ITS Carnival Recess Schedule and Student Access to Technology Resources during the recess

Greetings Colleagues,

In an effort to maintain services to students during the Carnival Recess, the Libraries on both campuses will observe the following schedule from Tuesday, April 28, 2009 to Saturday, May 2, 2009. The Libraries will resume regular hours on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.

Tuesday, April 28 thru Thursday, April 30, 2009
The Libraries will open from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Lab Access:
When the Libraries are not open, students will be able to utilize the designated students’ lab between the hours of 4:30 PM to 12:00 Midnight on each campus by making a request through the Security Department on their respective campus. Students must show their student ID and are required to sign in with Security to gain access to the following labs:

St. Thomas: BA 204E Lab
St. Croix: NWW 120 Lab
Students can also access online library resources at anytime by going to http://library.uvi.edu.


Friday, May 1, 2009 & Saturday, May 2, 2009
The Libraries will be closed in observance of Virgin Islands Carnival.

Lab Access:
Students will be able to utilize the designated students’ labs between the hours of 8:00 AM to 12:00 Midnight on each campus by making a request through the Security Department on their respective campus. Students must show their student ID and are required to sign in with Security to gain access to the following labs:

St. Croix: NW120 Lab

Exam Week: Monday, May 4, 2009 to Saturday May 9, 2009.
The Libraries on both campuses will observe the regular schedule.
Monday thru Thursday 8:00am to 10:00pm
Friday 8:00am to 8:00pm
Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm

Note, During Exam Week, May 4-9, 2009, after hours Lab access will be extended to provide additional access from 10:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
Additionally, Intersession begins Sunday, May 10, 2009 thru May 17, 2009. During Intersession the Libraries on both campuses will be open Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm and will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.
