Greeting University Community,
This communication is to let you know that the UVI Libraries will be closed in observance of the Labor Day Holiday on Monday, September 6, 2010.
Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 8:00 a.m.
Close: Monday, September 6, 2010
Libraries will observe regular scheduled hours during the weekend.
Open: Saturday, September 4, 2010 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Sunday, September 5, 2010 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm
In an effort to maintain technology services to students during the Labor Day Holiday, both campuses will observe the following schedule for student lab access on Monday, September 6, 2010.
Lab Access:
On St. Croix campus students will be able to utilize the NWW 120 Lab. Students may request access through the Security Department. Students must present their UVI ID and sign in order to gain access.
On St. Thomas campus the 24/7 library lab is available for students use during the holiday. Students can access the lab by using their ID key cards.

St. Croix: NWW 120 Lab
Students may also access online library resources at any time by going to http://library.uvi.edu.
The Help Desk voice mail at ext.1466 and email will be monitored during the holiday. If a technology emergency occurs please leave us a message and an ITS technician will follow up. If you have any questions, please contact us at the Help Desk.

As Information & Technology Services moves towards a single sign on technology, (where users can use one user name and password for accessing all University applications), ITS is pleased to announce that effective Monday August 9, 2010, all UVI, staff and faculty will use their domain username (e.g. kbryant) and password instead of their 9 digit UVI ID and pin number to login to BanWeb.

Technology Update : St. Croix Internet restored
Greetings UVI Community,
Please be informed that Internet services are on St. Croix campus are now operational. Our Internet Service Provider (ISP) Broadband VI had to reset a switch at Blue Mountain on St. Croix. Internet speeds should be connecting at normal speeds now.
